Harskirchen Marina is on the "Houillères de la Sarre" canal, originally used to transport coal from local mines. This canal runs from Luxembourg through Germany to France and it takes about a fortnight to navigate the complete length.

Many services are available at the marina: tourist information, toilets and showers, a laundry, a computer with internet access, WIFI, electricity and water hook-ups, and a suction pump for waste water. A shuttle runs to nearby restaurants. A service point for camper vans is also available. 

The leisure area near the Marina provides a good starting point for walkers or cyclists.

There are two circular walks, one 30 and the other 90 minutes. 
There are four signposted cycle trails.
Cycle tracks run along the length of the Sarre canal.
